Frequently Asked Questions

What lens brands do you currently support?

We provide repair consultation for a wide range of photographic lenses, including Leica, Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Olympus, Carl Zeiss, Sigma, Tamron, Voigtländer, and other lenses.

Repair availability depends on the lens model, condition, internal structure, and parts availability.

Please contact us before sending your lens for repair.

Can you remove fungus from a camera lens?

Yes.

We provide inspection and cleaning services for lenses affected by fungus growth.

The repair method depends on the severity of the contamination and whether the optical coatings have been permanently damaged.

Each lens will be individually evaluated before repair work begins.

Can haze or cloudiness inside a lens be repaired?

In many cases, yes.

Internal haze, oil contamination, deteriorated lubricants, and certain optical issues can often be cleaned or serviced.

However, repair feasibility depends on the lens design, optical condition, and availability of replacement parts.

Where will my lens be repaired and how long does the process take?

At present, most lens repair work is carried out through our Shanghai service center in China.

After receiving your inquiry, we will review the symptoms and provide a preliminary assessment whenever possible.

Once the lens arrives at our Shanghai service center, a detailed inspection will be conducted and a final quotation will normally be provided within 5 business days.

If the customer approves the quotation, repair work will begin.

Because many lens repairs involve complete disassembly, optical cleaning, fungus removal, mechanical adjustment, or complex restoration work, the overall repair process generally requires approximately 30–60 days.

In most cases, the approved quotation will not be revised during the repair process.

Do you accept lenses with severe damage?

Yes.

We accept consultations for lenses affected by:

• Fungus contamination
• Internal haze or oil contamination
• Moisture and liquid exposure
• Sand and dust contamination
• Impact damage
• Mechanical failures
• Long-term storage deterioration

Repair feasibility will depend on the actual condition of the lens.

What happens if my lens cannot be repaired?

Because we frequently accept complex and heavily damaged lenses, there is always a possibility that repair may ultimately prove impossible after detailed inspection or partial disassembly.

If repair work cannot be successfully completed after work has already begun, the lens will be returned to you and no repair fee will be charged.

Customers will only be charged when a repair is successfully completed and approved for return.
