Frequently Asked Questions
Which camera brands do you currently support?
At present, our repair support services primarily focus on Canon digital cameras.
We are continuously expanding our technical capabilities and may gradually support additional camera brands in the future. If you would like to inquire about a repair for any camera brand, please contact us first.
Our team will coordinate with our after-sales service center in Shanghai, China to evaluate repair feasibility before proceeding.
Where will my camera be repaired and how long does the process take?
Depending on the model, symptoms, and required repair procedures, cameras may be inspected in Japan and repaired either locally or through our Shanghai service center in China.
For complex repairs and severe damage cases, repair work is typically carried out by our specialized technical team in Shanghai. As a result, the overall repair process generally requires approximately 30–60 days.
After receiving your inquiry, we will review the symptoms and provide a preliminary assessment and estimated repair cost within 2–3 business days whenever possible.
Once the device arrives at our Shanghai service center, a detailed inspection will be conducted and a final quotation will normally be provided within 5 business days.
If the customer approves the quotation, repair work will begin. In most cases, the approved quotation will not be revised during the repair process.
What types of camera repairs do you specialize in?
We primarily accept complex repair cases that are often difficult for standard service centers to handle.
Examples include:
• Liquid and water damage
• Sand and dust contamination
• Severe impact damage
• Electrical failures
• Out-of-warranty products
• Older or discontinued models
Repair feasibility depends on the condition of the device and parts availability.
What happens if my camera cannot be repaired?
Because we mainly accept heavily damaged devices, there is always a possibility that a repair may ultimately prove impossible after detailed inspection or partial disassembly.
If a repair cannot be completed after work has already begun, the device will be returned to you and no repair fee will be charged.
Customers will only be charged when a repair is successfully completed and approved for return.
Do you repair Sony, Panasonic, or other camera brands?
Currently, support for Sony, Panasonic, and certain other brands is limited.
However, depending on the model, symptoms, and parts availability, repair consultation may still be possible. Please contact us with the product details and symptoms before sending your camera.
Each case will be individually reviewed.
Do you provide CMOS sensor cleaning services in Japan?
Yes.
We provide CMOS sensor cleaning and maintenance services for selected camera models.
Advance reservation is recommended to ensure technician availability. In many cases, sensor cleaning can be completed on the same day and returned shortly after service.
For customers visiting our Osaka office, same-day service may be available depending on the engineer’s schedule.
